About Me

I'm a tree lover who cherishes the forest trails in W WA. For over 16 years, I've shared majestic old-growth trees with my guests and other tree-huggers. They all tell me it's revitalizing and one of the highlights of their visit. I enjoy sharing about how trees communicate, and why healing in nature (aka "forest bathing") is vital to humans. Walks are extra magical when I share a way to listen to trees and ferns sing throughout the forest using a device called Plants Play.

Since 2018 I've been offering a wide variety of personal and group experiences to connect people more deeply with nature, both indoors and out, like:

  • Guided meditative walks for healing with tree/plant music
  • Eco-Consciouness mindfilness workshops and lectures for self-care and for community ceremonies for healing our planet
  • Interspecies collaborations with dancers, theatre troupes, musicians (Heartsparkle Players in Feb 2024 and Dancing to the Music of the Forest in March 2024)
  • Plant music installations, performances pairing artists with trees (Alice Grendon solo dance with cedar tree in Squaxin Park, 2023), recording tree duets with solo musicians like, Alex Sturbaum (guitar) and Heidi Connolly (flute).
  • Record your favorite trees and plants to capture the awe of the forest in your personal recording.

I am a quiet Ph.D. researcher and documentary film enthusiast. I enjoy sharing my favorite Olympia coffee shops, parks, book stores and, of course, trees. I like meeting fellow independent travelers who enjoy meandering through parks and neighborhoods.

My motto: Breathe In. Breathe Out. Thank The Trees.

Some of My Favorite Books

I frequently suggest buying 2 books for tree lovers, one for adults and the other for kids. Both are written by Peter Wohlleben: The Hidden Life of Trees and Can You Hear The Trees Talking?
